Is the government the underlying source of bar codes so that we will have a unique identifier in the future?

As referenced by the Bible, are bar codes the "mark of the beast"? Will we someday receive tattooed or laser etched bar codes somewhere on our body (maybe with an implanted microchip) in order to purchase, bank, sell, whatever?

Is the UPC going to usher in a one-world government?

What are your thoughts about bar codes? Are they evil? Are they a great system for the computer age?

I personally don't think bar codes are necessary to supposedly "identify" humans, but whether our governments will implement them is a totally different argument, and I wouldn't put it past them to actually go through with it.

They may think of something even more distinctive than the obvious "black and white bars" in a new, technological UPC system.

However I don't think there will be much stopping the "National ID Card" which may also be the mark, IMO. It does seem like a good idea in theory, but it also has its disadvantages. It's good for convenience, but it's also that much easier to lose all your information, which makes thieves jobs much easier.

I believe that this is just a joke, as long as the constitution remains and the people go by what it says there will be no bar codes marking us. The world is just trying to figure out less stressful ways of bardering what we want.

I have a very small barcode tattooed on my scalp, I only noticed it when i needed my head shaved after receiving an accident with a glass door. I was adopted very young and have no record of who my parents are. I can get no answers so your theory may not be far off...

When I say small, it is about 1/4 inch by 1/2 inch

So when did you realize you had the barcode? Just recently?

about 12 months ago after i cut my head. It is very faded but it is definitely recogniseable as a small barcode. I don't know if it was maybe used by an adoption agency or if there is more sinister connotations. I was abandoned so have no knowledge of my personal history before the age of 2.5 to 3 years

i'll try to take one through my hair and post it. I have thick hair so may not be great. I'll posta drawing of it. I actually may have a photo i took at the time. i'll have a look and come back to you.

Are you sure? I mean I don't think that tattoos just appear. I mean if it was after an accident or something (like you say) then maybe your friends were just joking around with you to freak you out.

Your talking about bar codes as a means of human identification but
in reality, the us military is already implanting some sort of radio chip
in the arms of people serving in the military. I know because my daughter
had one implanted when she was in the army. Just so that you know, it
isn't removed once you leave the service. It's there for life or you have
it removed yourself.

Also, sometime in the very near future, all people in the usa will be required
to have this object that is about the same shape and size of a grain of rice,
implanted into them to. This object is actually a glass tube with a radio chip
inside of it. It will be used to track your every movement. Later on, it will be
used as a means to buy and sell. All your personal information such as your
bank account info and your medical records will be stored in it. If you dont
get one implanted then you wont be able to do anything. Your life will be
pretty much over. If you cant eat then you will die. You will also be hunted
down and probably killed for not getting the implant.

Next year, your drivers license will have a tiny radio chip inserted into it.
This will temporarily be used to keep track of your movements until they
perfect the rice shaped radio chip. The government is trying to find a way
to have this chip implanted in your brain so that it cant be removed. Right
now the problem their having is with infections and the body trying to
reject it.

I hope this give all of you a heads up on what the us government is really
up to.
