I have seen the same ghost as a friend of mine, who sees this ghost on his property alot. He lives on a very old homestead out in the country, and it has a long history of past people that had lived there at one time or another, some with very interesting histories. My friend, Roger, had told me about this "fellow" (ghost) long before I had actually seen him for myself, and told me that he sees him alot, but I just thought he was playing with me, as this place is very secluded and out in a very remote part of here in Oregon, and can be a kinda eerie place sometimes.
Then one evening, we were out in his barn working on his pickup axle. The barn doors were open, and my truck was parked outside the barn, right in front of the door. From where we were working, I could see my truck easily. I remember it was raining very heavily at the time also. My friend asked me if I would step out and get some more firewood for the woodstove he has in the barn, and we were using. So I started walking to the door, and as I stepped out of the barn, I saw this little man standing beside my truck, and kinda leaning against the driver’s side door. He couldn't have been more than 20 feet away from me. I saw him clearly, just standing there in the downpour. I turned back to shout to my buddy that someone was here, then it hit me that we were 4 miles from his nearest neighbor, and I could see all the way down his driveway to the road, and there was no other vehicle here either. So I turned back to say something to this "fellow", and he was gone. He just disappeared within a matter of a few seconds. ![]() I went back in the barn and told my buddy what I had just seen, and he just started laughing at me. I was upset he wasn't taking me seriously, but rather amused with my concern. Then he started to describe to me EXACTLY the description of this "fellow" that I saw, and he was right about every detail, even as to what he was wearing, his appearance, and everything. Then he told me that I had just seen the ghost he had told me about him seeing regularly out there at his place. I stayed with him for about 3 more months during that Autumn and deer/elk hunted with him. During that time, I saw this "fellow" 2 more times, walking through the lower pasture where he has a flock of sheep at. |

Woah. That's pretty spooky. Does your friend know any history on who this man could be? My opinion/theory on ghosts is that when somebody dies suddenly or unexpectedly it leaves a trace of their energy behind which is why people see them randomly. Try doing a little research and see if you can find out who he was and how he died. You could probably tell how long ago he lived by his clothing. I'd be interested.

This friend of mine, Roger, had lived in that house with his wife and 2 girls for about 8 years prior to this event when I saw this ghost. He had told me that he had seen a ghost of a man out at his place on several different occasions, but it never did anything malevolent. It was just there watching him, or walking across the field, or sometimes he said he would see it down in his sheep pasture kinda herding his sheep around. When this happened, I really wasn't expecting to see anything like a ghost, because I really didn't actually totally believe in them (at that time), and I thought Roger might have been just trying to get a reaction out of me. So when I saw this "person" standing in the driveway, I just thought it was a neighbor, or maybe another one of Roger's friends who had come out to visit. When Roger described this man to me (exactly, even how tall, how old, what he was wearing, etc.) that's when I became a believer. And started looking at my surroundings a bit more closely too, so I guess I was a bit "scared" or more like interested after seeing it As I said, his place out there was very old, and was homesteaded in the very early 1800's. The house they were living in there was over 80 years old, and other older houses had been there before that one, and either burned down or fell down, I don't know for sure. But Roger thinks the ghost was tied to the property somehow, as he always saw him outside, and never in the house. This ghost was dressed in very old looking clothing, like overalls, or clothes similar to what loggers would wear. That brings us to his wife, Tracy, who said she had seen the figure of a young girl about age 6 or 7 standing in the front window of the house while she and her daughters were all outside one day gardening. There was no one else there with them, so the house should have been empty. After this experience, I had told other friends out that way about what I had seen. There were a few who had replied to me about another different place out that way called "The Molalla Mansion" that was supposedly haunted/or had ghosts too. |

Thought I'll add an experience I had a while back. Around 18 months ago, I was driving back home around with a couple of friends through part of a forest called Cannock Chase. Cannock Chase is hotspot for paranormal activity, such as UFOs, Bigfoot-like (possibly werewolfs) creatures, phantom black dogs and even big cats. I normally spend a lot of time up there, as I often go walking and mountain biking up there, so I know the place like the back of my hand, and so I know roughly where all the sightings are taking place.
Anyway back to my sighting. I was driving through part of "The Chase" that is a hotspot for the "bigfoot" sightings, which is very close to a German War cemetery. As we come over the top of a small hill, we saw an on coming car at the cross roads about 100 yards away from us, which proceeded to turn left. This is when we saw a human shaped figure in the car head lights in the middle of the cross roads. I must explain that this "figure" that we saw was, what I can only describe as really dense fog. As we got close towards the cross roads and this "figure", it turned into some sort of a cloud and shot off into some trees. At first I didn't say anything, as I thought it was my eyes playing tricks on me. It wasn't until we crossed the cross road, that I asked my friends if they just saw something in the road, to which they replied yes. I asked them what they saw and described to me exactly what I saw. Now I'm not claiming that this was a ghost or even a spirit, but the experience was certainly interesting. |
