I realize this might be a stretch even for conspirators such as myself to handle, but it's still a fascinating concept. Thoughts on a possible flat Earth?

I don't know a whole lot about how gravity works and how
it makes everything on this planet stay in place but to try
to tell everyone that the earth is flat is really silly.

We have video of our planet from space an it looks pretty round
to me as do our other local planets and moons.

I wonder why these people think the earth is flat, even though
they have seen the video's of earth from space and can see for
themselves that earth is indeed round. Makes no sense.

They claim they those photos and videos from space are faked.

I'm assuming that some of them are very religious and take biblical interpretations literally, although I couldn't pinpoint where exactly in the Bible it says the Earth is flat, but I know it's been mentioned before.

Just by looking at a full moon should tell everyone
that not only the moon but earth as well is round and
not flat.

Figures, their evidence page is "under construction". Honestly I think this idea is ridiculous. A conspiracy of this magnitude would have to have tons of governments involved and also all major airlines, astronomers, scientists, astronauts etc etc. If the earth was flat, you wouldn't be able to just fly over the north pole to take a shortcut to China, unless they're claiming that the earth is infinite and just keeps repeating itself somehow. This whole theory completely defies everything we currently know about the universe. Hell our entire existence would be manipulated, from planets orbiting stars to moons orbiting planets. I just can't see it.

Just from browsing and skimming I get this:

Once again, picture in your mind a round world. Now imagine that there are two people on this world, one at each pole. For the person at the top of the world, (the North Pole), gravity is pulling him down, towards the South Pole. But for the person at the South Pole, shouldn't gravity pull him down as well? What keeps our person at the South Pole from falling completely off the face of the "globe"?

You've gotta be kidding me. The gravitation center of the earth is in the middle. Not on one side or the other. I can't read anymore of this.

Heh, yeah, I thought I'd post one of the more "Out there" Conspiracies, but it's still fun too read and learn about for me, even if it's one of the craziest.

I like their explanation for how the Earth is shaped along with how Gravity works though.

The earth is supposedly shaped like a discus, accelerating at a constant speed, pushing upwards, thus creating the "illusion of gravity". Also the North Pole is really the Center of the Earth, and the continent of Antarctica doesn't really exist. Antarctica is really a 500 foot "ice wall" surrounding the planet.

These flat earthers are just plain nuts if you ask me. They have
no proof yet they continue telling people the lies.

If they are serious enough about their flat earth theory then why
don't they send out an expedition to one of the edges of the
earth and prove their theory is true?

All they would have to do is stand on the edge of earth and take
a few pictures or video to prove or disprove their theory.

Yeah exactly. I just read those FAQs and I'm seriously disturbed by their explanations of stars, tides and everything else. The sunset is just an illusion? Get real! The south pole is a barrier holding in the oceans? That is absurd. Planes have flown over the south pole, and we currently have scientists stationed there. This theory goes against all almost all known science. If our planet was actually moving up at a constant speed, then why do things accelerate faster when they fall? None of it makes sense. Hollow earth I can kind of dig, but flat earth is just utterly retarded.

Besides, why would NASA and the governments hide this? If anything they could use it to their advantage to prove that the earth is the center of the universe and that the bible is correct that god made us and put us on a pedestal.

I think we should sign up and totally shit on their arguments. I just looked at the forum and it is childish as hell. Somebody poses a legit question and not one person answers. They say stuff like "do more research".

After reading through some more threads over there, I would guess the same. I can't remember which thread it was, but one of them said that they enjoyed arguing from Flat Earth Viewpoint, and laughed at those that thought he was a "Flat-Earther".
