ABC News: NBC News' 'Meet the Press' Host Tim Russert Dies at 58
So young too .Anyone believe the story of the heart attack as the culprit? Maybe there's some behind-the-scenes murder we aren't suppose to be aware of; sucks if that were to be true . |

I knew that the heart attack thing would come up as soon as
i heard how he died. So far though, it looks like it happened the way they say it did. Time will tell though. I really didn't listen to his broadcasts so i really don't know much about him. I know he was well liked though for his journalizism skills. |

Yeah, I don't really watch ANY television news broadcasts anymore (Save O'Reilly, just for entertainment values, and DS / CR for the Satire
).They're ALL filled with propaganda and spin, the media business is still comes down to just that, a business. Corporate well-being and Profit almost ALWAYS come before the facts and the quality of the news for the people, IMO. |

I know. Like I said, I watch it for "Entertainment purposes only" . By no means do I check Fox out for informational purposes, nor do I watch him on a regular basis or anything, just once in awhile (once a month at most, I'd say). It's just fun to watch him yell at guests, condescension, and spread spin, all the while claiming to be the "No Spin Zone". Check out this clip of him arguing with Phil Donahue, it's great :YouTube - Bill O'Reilly gets his ass kicked by Phil Donahue!! |

Yes, I believe there was more to his death and I would look in Karl Rove's direction and the Bush Admin. Russert was a major witness in the Scooter Libby case. Rove is Bush's Brain and is one of the most powerful men in the US, if not in the world. Cheney is also very powerful and very scary in the poltical arena and both of these men were going to go down.
I am not sure if it is easy to make a death look like a heart attack, but if you remember one the Democrats were about to be the majority in Congress, a Dem had a heart attack and was in the hospital for a while and this prevented Congress from being ruled by Dems. The Republicans are VERY scary and the Bush Admin is ran by Cheney, Rumsfield, and Rove. |

Hey Green Thoughts. Welcome to these forums.
I never heard about tim russert being a witness in the scooter libby case. I must have missed that one. I couldn't agree more with the rest of your post though. There is just to much evil happening in the white house. The sad part is that i don't think we will ever see an end to it. |

There are a lot of stories about his testimony if you google it. Here is just one.
The reason why you missed this, is because it is not talked about much. I heard it once and it seemed like it was a slip up. So I had to research it! Greg Mitchell: When Tim Russert Testified Against 'Scooter' Libby - Politics on The Huffington Post |

Oh! So Scooter got Russert involved in the Valeri Plame case by
saying it was Russert that told Scooter about Valeri Plame. The thing is, even if it were true is that Russert should have never even knew about any of it. Nice try Scooter but it still got you a jail sentence. Even if Bush did pardon you, we still know your guilty. |

Welcome back, GT

In most instances, you'd think it's the other way around, with Lewis giving her name up to the press for the world to know. That claim just seems far to unlikely to me, that Tim somehow knew about it and withheld reporting about it... |

is if scooter or someone else in the government told him first. The whole story smells fishy to me. |

It is always good to get the truth out there... and this is very fishy....I do not believe we will ever know the full truth in this instance, but it is good to see McClellan coming out and talking about the fact that there was and are still lies flying high in the white house.
Maybe him and Bush are working together on this somehow, because McClellan said today that he does not think Bush was involved. Could Bush possibly have a conscious? Could Bush of worked with McClellan to help ensure he was protected while he was writing his book? Think about it conspiracy buffs..... do you really think the WH would not get wind of a Former White House Press Sec writing a book about "What Happened" in the WH. If he was not working with Bush, he was being protected by someone, because you can't do things like this without your life being at risk. You have too many crooks in the WH. |

Although i think McClellan is doing the right thing by telling america what
he knows, It seems like he knows very little about everything. During his hearing, his answers to questions weren't very forth coming at all. Basically, everything he told us is just guess work on his part and there really wasn't anything in his answers that could hang the bush administration. I know scott had to answer the questions put to him as honestly as possible or else he could wind up hanging himself but even still, the whole thing didn't wash with me. You know scott knows more about bush and cheney than what he is telling us so maybe your right GT. Maybe scott is trying to protect bush and at the same time, try to create a distraction for the american people to keep their thoughts away from real world events like the iraq war or the the possible attack on iran or something else. I don't really know what else to say. It just doesn't feel right to me. |
